Die Deutscher kommer

Barnet v Rochdale is rarely a fixture to whet the appetite, but things were a little different this time. Alex & Christoph, our friends from Bochum, had travelled over to see the game. Coupled with our new flag, which was making it's first outing and my housewarming party, it promised to be a good day.

We met at Pete's place to admire the flags.

At the ground, Village was delighted with his new recruits to Barnet's global fanclub and proudly put up the Azzurro flag. Later it made its way onto the South Stand.

Happy times on the East Terrace.

The game was an exciting 0-0 draw. Real Football, Real Fans.

Afterwards, we retired to the Pav, and then after some food in the Railway Bell headed back to mine.

Carpy drunk.

Pete drunk.

Christoph reliving the highlights of the game.

We return to Germany in two weeks time where we'll once again be meeting the Bochumer's in the Bierkutscher, before heading on to the Vfl - FCN game. I hope it isn't 0-0.
